Grammy Protest Song

We’re pleased to announce that Varner Stomps, one of the hottest songwriting talents on the roots music scene, has signed with our company, City Roots Publishing. When Varner resurfaced after a long absence from songwriting, we jumped at the chance to feature three Stomps originals on our new CD – “Mississippi Home,” “Weather Girl,” and “Locked Out.” And if we know Varner, there are many more just like ‘em waiting in the wings. Stomps has been writing his one-of-a-kind grassroots “art songs” for the last 30 years, so why isn’t he a household name? “Good God! I’ve probably been thrown out of just about every publishing house on Music Row,” Stomps explains, laughing.“ And if my portrait here looks better than I do in person, then compliments to my lighting crew and a rare good night’s sleep.”

It's official, our debut album, "Layin' It Down" is now available for purchase on iTunes! We are so excited and can't wait to celebrate tonight at Rodeo Bar! The T-Shirts have arrived!! We are thrilled with how the merchandise turned out. There are tons of different colors and fits for both men and women. And boy, they are already flying off the shelf. Layin' It Down - The Debut CD!

We just sent the audio master and the album artwork to the printer. We are so proud of this CD and can't wait for you to hear it! CD's will be available on September 8, 2011 and we hope you'll join us that night at RODEO BAR for our CD RELEASE PARTY! Thank you to everyone who helped make this happen!

NYCity Slickers in the Recording Studio!

Last day of recording!

We are back in the studio today for our final Monster recording session!!! We cannot speak high enough about Dubway Studios & our sound engineer Mike Judeh, check them out at www.dubway.com. We have had the best experience recording and from the sound of our rough takes, this CD is going to be AWESOME!! As we start mixing & mastering we are meeting with a few different graphic designers to bring life to our vision for the CD cover. It's certainly a very exciting time.

Thank you again to everyone who gave money to Kickstarter to help make this happen. We couldn't have done it without you! We can't wait for you to hear the CD and hope to see you for the killer CD release party. More info on that to come in the following weeks.
